McCarthy’s chief rival, Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, brought forward the “motion to vacate” drawing together more than a handful of conservative Republican critics of the speaker and many Democrats who say he is unworthy of leadership.

Next steps are uncertain, but there is no obvious successor to lead the House Republican majority.

McCarthy should’ve shut this government down. Nothing would’ve changed except no pay for the bureaucratic swampsters , faceless parasites who plotted Trump’s witch hunts , and an IRS which destroys our incomes.

McCarthy deserved it. He decided to go against his own rules. He knew he was going to be in trouble but yet he kept taunting them to bring it on. You reap what you sow.

Matt is just a product of today’s education system. Just be friends with your students. Never punish them. Don’t tell them no. Matt is upset that someone didn’t listen to him. He now is having his tantrum.

Mccarthy was in a tough situation. President is Dem (thanks to Trump). Senate is Dem (thanks to Trump). Margin in house is razor thin (thanks to Trump). Under the circumstances, Mccarthy did the best he could. Trump took over the GOP seven years ago. Now he’s destroying it. When we get the leftist democrat dictatorship in Jan 2025, we’ll know who to blame. But of course he’ll blame Mitch, Ryan, Bush and all of the other villains.

The government goes on whether or not Congress is in session. It was Congress which supported the no win wars in Vietnam, as well as in Iraq and Afghanistan. Whereas some of them may be poor individuals when they come to Congress, they are not poor when they leave. It seems that they are always in recess. In short, there has to be term limits for members of Congress; no more than five terms (10 years for Representatives, and two terms (twelve years), for Senators.

McCarthy promised to release more Jan 6 tapes and never did. He, like others are scared of this Jan 6 fraud . He had the chance to push defunding and/or subpoena’ing the criminals at the DOJ and never did. He slow walked Brandon impeachment. Matt Gaetz is an American hero along with the other 7.
