RED CROSS DISGRACE: Senior Official Equates Israel and Hamas Not Allowing Family Visits

(VINnews) — The disgraceful Red Cross has again drawn a moral equivalency between Israel and Hamas. Fabrizio Carboni, Middle East Director of the International Red Cross, told the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that neither Israel nor Hamas has allowed visits to prisoners.

“Israel and Hamas have both refused to allow prisoner visits, which is unacceptable on either side,” he said

While discussing visits to terrorists imprisoned by Israel, he commented: “As of October 7th, the Israeli authorities have decided to suspend such [family] visits. It is also sad that Hamas does not allow us to visit the hostages it holds. This is completely unacceptable for both sides.”

The Red Cross, which has earned a decades-old reputation of being unfriendly to Jews, has been infamously callous and cruel toward Israel ever since the Hamas attack.

Many have criticized the so-called “humanitarian” group as nothing more than a taxi service.

Earlier this month, Dor Steinbrecher, brother of hostage Doron Steinbrecher, a nurse and veterinarian from Kibbutz Kfar Aza, told CNN that a Red Cross worker dismissed pleas from their mother for needed medication, saying the family should be more concerned about the plight of Palestinians in Gaza.

He said, “My mom had a few minutes with the Red Cross and she told them my sister need[s] to get her medicine. And they told her that we should care more about Arab people on the other side.”

In a December TV interview, International Red Cross President Mirjana Spoljaric claimed that Hamas and Israel were equally to blame for her organization’s inability to access the Israeli hostages held by Hamas.

One Israeli hostage is suing the Red Cross for abandoning their responsibility and ignoring the health and safety of Israeli hostages held captive by Hamas. According to the lawsuit, the ICRC, which has proven time and again that it is inhumane to Jews, rejected numerous family requests to send medication to Raz Ben Ami, who is reportedly fighting brain tumors.

In December, Jewish comedian Michael Rapaport posted a video of himself on social media in Israel, blasting the Red Cross and UNICEF for refusing to ask Hamas to grant them access to Israeli hostages, and refusing to fight for the innocent children still being held captive.

An emotional and visibly angry Rapaport called the Red Cross “fraudulent” and accused the group of neglecting the hostages. He went further, saying they are merely a “taxi cab” and nothing more than an “Uber”.

Rapaport said that he had just met with the Bibas family, and he blamed the Red Cross for essentially making zero effort to help an innocent 4 year old and 9 month old who were tragically taken captive by Hamas monsters.

Israelis have echoed the sentiment that the Red Cross is “nothing more than a taxi service for when the hostages were released”.

As reported in the Jerusalem Post:

The Red Cross has sparked outrage in Israel with how it has handled the mass kidnapping and massacre conducted by Hamas on October 7, with some Israelis saying that the international organization operated as nothing more than a taxi service for when the hostages were released.

The family of Elma Avraham, an 84-year-old woman who was released during the ceasefire, told Israeli media that the Red Cross had refused to bring Avraham the medicine she needed. Immediately after Avraham was released, she was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Since then, her condition has improved.

Dr. Nadav Davidovitz – who treated Elma after her release – said “We were in meetings with the Red Cross and asked them to make every effort to bring the medications to her, because some hostages are just dying. From a medical and nursing standpoint, what we witnessed is unlawful neglect.”
