Sullivan County, Woodridge, NY – Firefighters from Sullivan and Ulster counties were all on the scene this morning for a large 3rd Alarm fire that destroyed the main building and several bungalows at a Orthodox Jewish camp.

The fire began early in the morning at 114 Lakehouse Road and Rosemond Road, the former Lakehouse Hotel, off Dairyland and Clearmont Roads between Woodridge and Mountaindale.
The blaze took down a 20,000-square-foot wood frame commercial structure and several smaller bungalows at this seasonal camp that was unoccupied. No injuries were reported.
The fire is under investigation.
Fire departments from Woodridge, Mountain-Dale and Woodburn responded again late in the afternoon to a 2nd Alarm, when the fire re-kindled. [VIN]

Hotel goes up in flames
Woodridge – Fire of unknown origin destroyed the main building and five bungalows at the Lake House Hotel on Lake House Road in Woodridge early this morning.
The structure with about 100 guest rooms, a dining room and kitchen were destroyed, said Mountaindale Fire Chief J.J. Polowin. A couple of other bungalows were saved.
The cause of the fire, which broke out before 6 a.m. Tuesday, is under investigation. Polowin said the building had been renovated a couple of years ago.
Crews from Fallsburg, Loch Sheldrake, Woodbourne, Wurtsboro, Ellenville, Rock Hill, Monticello, Woodridge, Mountaindale and Liberty fought the blaze for hours.
