Atlanta, GA – Jimmy Carter Proudly Becomes Hamas Advisor

[File photo] Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter (R) looks at the remains of rockets during a visit to a police station in the southern Israeli town of Sderot April 14, 2008.Atlanta, GA – Former US President Jimmy Carter proudly announced on his website at the weekend that during his recent visit to Damascus he advised Hamas leader Khaled Mashal on what price to demand for hostage Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

In a trip report posted to the website of The Carter Center, the former president described Mashal and the other Hamas men he met with as respectable, suit-wearing professionals, and pointedly suggested that none of them are religious fanatics.

Carter’s visit to Lebanon and Syria last week, like a similar visit several months ago, greatly angered US officials and prominent American commentators.

In addition to meeting with a Syrian regime that Washington is trying to isolate, Carter made a point of sitting down with Hamas and requesting an audience with Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Nasrallah refused the meeting.

Carter insists that Hamas and Hizballah are powerful and legitimate players on the Middle East stage that must be engaged in dialogue, while his critics say it is because of people like Carter that groups like Hamas gain legitimacy and become impossible to defeat.

There is a Law on the books that makes it a Felony to assist Hamas, Hezbulla or any other terror group.

Carter should be arrested and put on trial like any other citizen.

Reminds me of the English aristocracy who wanted peace with Germany because most leading Nazis were cultured university educated art collectors. Churchill had the sense to exile and house-arrest them in Scotland.

If this had been a US soldier then Carter would have been charged with sedition and treason. Let’s see if the US would be willing to extradite the war criminal to Israel for trial, providing the Israelis would try him – he isn’t Eichmann and these are times where the raw pain is so pronounced.

Carter should be stripped from his American citizenship. He is aiding and abetting terrorism and should be listed under the “axis of evil”
group. See how much damage a dumb person can do? What a self-hating American he is.

It has become very obvious in recent year of how much former President Carter feels a connection to the Arabs and not to the Jews. This can now remind us of the terrible peace accord he arranged to give away the Sinai to the Arabs. This caused terrorist to be closer to our border and we lost much of the oil reserves that were located there. This should cause us to be also suspect to other future President of the United States who will come along and want to make peace .

Indeed this bigot earned the title as the worst US president in history….

The US is still suffering damages from his policies.

Read what he says about “Israeli occupied territory” know n as Sheeba Farms. He never mentions that Israeli troops are all on the Israeli sidemof a worldwide recognized border. The only ones who don’t recognize that border are the Hizbollah haters who refuse to reecognize the right of Israel to exist at all. The man is a rasha and deserves the fate of all sonei Hahshem

The media will try to convert him into St. Jimmy when he ties. This guy almost ruined America and he is an open anti-Semite. Shame on all the Jews who voted for their liberal.

by the way i was reading about a way to put a small dent in the finances of these anti American anti Jewish lobby groups such as cair, the carter center aclu etc.
this will only help if enough people do it
simply go to their site and donate a miniscule amount such as a penny –each transaction actually costs them more than that – again this would only help if enough people do it

If you think about this rationally, he is helping Gilad Shalit. Please remember if it wasn’t for President Carter, Israel would still be fighting with Egypt.

    You are misconstuing his words…

We discussed items on my agenda that included an extension of the ceasefire in Gaza, life there under the Israeli sanctions, the Arab peace initiative, reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah, the future of Palestinian leadership and elections in the West Bank and Gaza, and formulas for prisoner exchange to obtain the release of Corporal Shalit.

Can we show some respect for a former president of the United States during his rapidly declining years. That he is suffering from senile demential is clear. Let us just petty him quietly.

There is absolutely no reason to show any respect to Jimmy Carter. Any person who acts in complete defiance of the US policy because he considers himself above the law should be castigated not respected. May H’ rid the world of all its evil inhabitants including Jimmy Carter

As a newspaper once famously headlined some years ago, “MORE MUSH FROM THE WIMP”!

If U.S. officials are truly distressed at his acts of freelance, lone-wolf diplomacy that go against official government policy by negotiating with outlaw nations and movements, let them indict him under the Logan Act — but I wouldn’t count on it happening. Certainly, every self0respecting member of the liberal media would squeal like and eel and squirm like a worm.

#26, #29 : Carter loves the Arabs thats why he tried selling our ports to them and his father did business with bin Ladens family……Oh wait that was do no wrong Mr Bush

I’ll put George W’s record of support for Israel and fighting Islamonazi terrorists up against Jimmy The Dhimmi’s record (which includes our 444-day national humiliation at the hands of Iran’s arrogant US Embassy hostage-kidnappers, presided over by an impotent Mr. Carter), ANY DAY.

With the “fool” (the Arabic word for peanut) farmer advising Hamas, Israel has nothing to worry about. Maybe he will convert them all to Xtianity, he is one of the biggest supporters of Jews for Jesus and Chosen People’s Ministries via his Southern Baptist Church.
