The Secure Community Network sent a memo to its member organizations, including Jewish federations around the country, advising them to take a close look at their security infrastructure, keep in close touch with local law enforcement officials and be aware of possible demonstrations in their area.
The JTA is reporting, that Paul Goldenberg, national director of SCN, said the organization does not have any information that a threat to American Jewish organizations is “imminent,” but past experience shows that increased vigilance is warranted.
Goldenberg said SCN is scheduled to hold a conference call today in the afternoon with security directors from its member groups and law enforcement officials to provide additional guidance.
There is no question that in the time of war there is great dangers to the institutions that are attacking. In this case it is Jewish institutions. However once there is a victory (which we pray for very soon) the opposite may happen. Just in the year of 1967 after the Israelis won the war there was a fear among surrounding nations of the Jews and Israel (Perhaps this is also connected to Chanukah). There was also a Jewish pride in the streets.
Stay vigilant….If something doesn’t seem right…REPORT IT!!!
Hinay lo yanom velo yishan shomer yisroel!!!!
so many problems for jews all around the globe because of some hudlums sitting at the helm of the israeli government. in fact, the israeli government hopes to create fear and panic to jews by igniting antisemitism around the world so that everyone should be forced to make “aliya”.
our message to the israeli government should be clear: Listen to daas torah! and don’t play games with jewish lives!
you see something you say something DIAL 911 don’t think twice
To #6 ….REPORT IT….There’s enough man-power in homeland security to respond. If you even remotely think its’s a wolf…CRY WOLF.
Don’t worry. Everything is under control. Didn’t you read the article….they are going to have a conference call. This will no doubt be followed by commitee meetings. They’ll come up with ‘guidelines” , so you see everything is under control, and its another day in Paradise.
So where is Agudah and Torah Umesorah while my kid in his Brooklyn Yeshiva has no real security? (I’m not talking about the nice Russian guy we say hello to every morning.) The schools say they have no money to function, let alone provide real security.
‘neighberhud’ ???? come on, now! (look at the caption in the photograph)
