Female Terrorist Neutralized After Attempted Stabbing At Ammunition Hill Train Station

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — A female terrorist attempted to stab security guards and civilians at the Ammunition Hill train station in northern Jerusalem. The terrorist was shot in the leg and neutralized by aguard. She is described as in light to moderate condition There were no other injuries reported in the incident.

A large police force arrived at the scene. One of the first to respond to the scene was Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai, whose office at the police central headquarters is nearby. Social media footage showed him running to the scene on foot, accompanied by his security detail and other officers.

The terrorist was later revealed to be a resident of the Jewish neighborhood of Pisgat Zeev in northern Jerusalem. The woman in her 50’s arrived at the train station with a kitchen knife in her bag and aroused the suspicion of one of the security guards who asked to check her. At this stage the woman took out the knife and advanced towards the guard, who first shot a warning shot in the air and then shot her in the lower body. She was arrested and taken to hospital for treatment.
