DISGRACE: CUNY Antisemite Publishes Vicious OP-ED Defending Hate Comments

37

NEW YORK (VINNews) — Fatima Mohammed, the CUNY student who sparked a firestorm over her commencement speech in which she accused Israel of virtually every sin imaginable, has published an op-ed in “The Nation.” In the hate piece, she doubled down on her antisemitic rhetoric, played the role of martyr, and defended her hate speech about ‘Palestine’.

Mohammed called the speech a “humbling moment”, and pledged to not apologize for her words. She reaffirmed her claims that Israel is guilty of oppression and apartheid, said Israel has “wreaked violence and pain on the Palestinian people”, and accused America of being complicit. She accused the CUNY Board of Trustees, who condemned her comments, of “twisting her words out of context.”

And she played the role of victim, saying that “coping with all of this has been one of the most difficult and painful things I have ever had to do.”

Here are excerpts of her op-ed:

“Being chosen by my fellow students was a humbling moment…I spoke about deep-seated societal injustices, mentioning the brown and Black men who are killed by the state at Rikers, the asylum seekers at our southern border, and the pervasiveness of state surveillance.

And I spoke about Israel’s oppression of Palestinians.“

My classmates and professors punctuated my speech with cheers and applause, giving me a standing ovation as my eyes welled up with tears. It’s a moment I will forever cherish.”

“Seemingly overnight…I became the target of vicious attacks, predominantly focused on my remarks about Israel. My picture was on the front page of the New York Post. Members of Congress from across the political spectrum smeared me on social media. New York City Mayor Eric Adams quickly joined in. The CUNY Board of Trustees issued its own statement defaming me and twisting my words out of context. Some critics claimed that my remarks made me unfit to join the bar and called for me not to be admitted.”

“Coping with all of this has been one of the most difficult and painful things I have ever had to do…But I stand by every word I uttered from that stage because my speech was grounded in the anti-racist, anti-oppression values that have guided me my entire life.”

“Growing up, I was taught by my family and community that Palestine is the litmus test for whether you are willing to fight for justice, however unpopular the cause is.”

“The more I reckoned with how complicit the United States is in the violence Israel inflicts on Palestinians, the more I felt obliged to speak up…we were able to bring the issue of Palestine to the forefront at CUNY Law—passing a Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions resolution through student government, which was later endorsed by faculty.”

“While some members of Congress and the mayor express outrage at my words, they have nothing to say about Israel’s brutal and racist oppression of Palestinians….”

“Israel’s government is intensifying the violent repression of Palestinians, accelerating the expansion of illegal settlements on occupied Palestinian land….So far this year, Israeli soldiers have killed at least 170 Palestinians, including 20 children, putting it on pace to be the deadliest year on record for Palestinians in the West Bank in decades.”

She concluded:

“I will not apologize for fulfilling my moral obligation to call out oppressive institutions and regimes wherever they exist, no matter what consequences I may face. Since Israel was established in 1948, it has wreaked violence and pain on the Palestinian people. Rather than targeting people like me who shine a light on that reality, perhaps Israel’s defenders should instead choose to stand on the right side of history and work to end Israeli apartheid.”

Let her talk about how many Palestinians were murdered by Hamas when they took over Gaza in 2005.

Why should she apologize? She claims that she is not racist, yet she is anti-Israel even though the terrorists constantly attack Israel, year she doesn’t condemn them. She chose to get involved in an issue she doesn’t understand, won’t back down and then claims she’s a victim?

Your approach is, of course, idolatrous and silly.

If you were to accuse the UK of “every sin imaginable” that would not make you anti-Anglican and it would not be “hate speech”.

There is no reason that the Zionist entity deserves any special rules. The Zionist State is Zionist, not Jewish. Anyone can criticize the Zionist State in any way that they they are allowed to criticize any gentile Nation-State.

If this Ishmaelite woman were to condemn Jews, however, then that would certainly be out of line.

But Jews should not be insulted in the slightest if she insults the Zionist State.

Let’s face it. She is almost percent wright.
They are over 10 million Arabs that are misplaced and lost there house because of Israel. We as a nation that went Tru the Holocaust, should have a bit more understanding for the palistinian cause.
They don’t have to suffer because we had broblem in Europe. Maybe Germany should give away part of their land.

I know and you know she’s a liar but none of the 14 comments before me refuted any of her points. דע מה שתשיב לאפיקורס There is a large world out there who hear her spewing her hatred and have no reason to think she’s wrong. Israel and jews in general need better PR. Last week for example Netanyahu was on ABC he gave same talking points but no good explanations why the Israeli supreme court has to be changed. We need to someone who can clearly explain why she’s wrong rather then just call her an anti semite.

I can’t believe some of the responses on VIN siding with the Palis. They are nothing more than murderers that would like to see all Jews and the State of Israel extinguished. How do you have remorse for them?

She made the colossal mistake of recognizing the state: “Since Israel was established in 1948…”
How could she be a graduate of such an esteemed educational institution?

The facts are that millions of Arabs where misplaced ONLY because some apikurdim in Europe decided that being Jewish doesn’t mean to keep mitsves it just means a land, a language and flag…
They thought that it will stop antisemitism..
Unfortunately the place we’re Jews are getting killed almost every day is Israel not anywhere else.
Let’s stick with the facts before calling me names.

The Nation has a long history of anti-Semitism which it disguises as being anti-Israel. No reason to expect them to change.
