According to a new poll, most NYC voters are unhappy with Adams’ handling of crime. 54% of respondents disapproved, while only 37% approve, according to the latest Quinnipiac survey.

That’s a steep drop from February, when 35% of voters were dissatisfied and 49% approved.

The mayor’s overall job approval numbers also fell, with 43% of voters approving and 37% disapproving, as opposed to February, when 46% approved while only 27% disapproved .Only 43% of voters are confident that Adams will reduce gun violence.

The survey also found that crime is the top concern of 49% of voters.

A whopping 56% of respondents disapproved of Adams’ handling of the homeless problem while only 41% approved.

Following the catastrophic deBlasio years, Adams pledged to reduce crime dramatically and ran as a “law and order” candidate.

However in virtually every metric, crime in New York City has surged this year. Although gun violence was down last month compared to April 2021, major crimes increased 34.2% overall last month compared to the previous year, caused by a rise in felony assaults, robberies, burglaries and thefts.

Like all democratic candidates they tell you what you want to hear and then do what the socialist Democratic Party minority want.

The downright pro-crime attitude of De Blasio left its trail, compounded by Adams’ incompetence.

Why would anyone think he would be better then the person before him? After all they belong to the same party. And quite frankly he’s worse then he’s predecessor he always blames everyone in his problems besides him selfs. Go figure.

I’m not so sure that this is primarily Adams’ fault. The previous mayor left behind a hefker velt, and it takes time to reverse that. Criminals were empowered.

Having said that, the mayor’s actions are timid. He needs to immediately circumvent the bail reform, until legislation can restore a normal situation. Meanwhile, there needs to be far more serious consequences for violent criminals. Frankly, I would hope that those criminals observed by law enforcement committing a violent crime should be eliminated on the spot. Yes, cope need to get trigger happy. Those who would consider committing a crime need to know that they may not live to derive the benefits of it. We do need major action. Just praading more uniformed officers in the streets while even arrests don’t matter is beyond foolish.
